- well, granted, a board like that might be useful, but that's
- only because the Amiga's software market is slow. making such a
- board will definitly bring an epocalipse to all software
- development on the amiga, since now, the user has 2 choices,
- either buy a cheap (but ready to use) software for the PC or buy
- a more expensive package for his/her Amiga. this will have an
- impact on all developers for the Amiga in all fields since the
- PC market sadly rules today. this is just surrendering to the
- market status and won't help the Amiga in any way. instead of
- imitating a cripple machine like a PC resources should be aimed
- at bringing the Amiga its long-lost glory by making PPC
- motherboards readily available and not rely too much on AT or
- Escom to provide the goods. they're obviously not commited to
- Amiga since they're not shipping them already with new'n
- improved technology. we need to try to take the monopol out of
- Escom, and show them that the Amiga can succeed without them.
